Listen To Kabuki's Jungle/Drum 'N' Bass Takeover On EB Radio

This week we heard a lot of talk about Skee Mask’s LP for Ilian Tape, and the ecstatic response to that record speaks to the increasingly potent role breakbeats play in refreshing contemporary techno and dance music. Thus there’s no better time to draft a longstanding junglist like Kabuki for a takeover on EB Radio. The Frankfurt DJ has been crucial to Germany’s jungle, drum ‘n’ bass and bass scene since the mid-’90s, when he co-founded the label Precision Breakbeat Research and (in 2000) contributed to 4hero’s legendary Reinforced outpost. These days, he runs a club night at Berlin’s Watergate called New Forms. His set for EB Radio is an excursion of form and function where rolling beats and ambient sonics take the lead en route to a gentle comedown. You’ll find tracks from Zed Bias, Machinedrum, Synkro, dBridge and more.
