This Sampled Drumkit Was Made In A Spacecraft Testing Facility

“Hey, these sounds are out of this world!” said our editor (older man) as we tested this free sampled drumkit by Peter Kirn. The statement is a pun, made by someone who is an uncle, in reference to the fact that it was recorded at the European Space Agency’s European Space Research and Technology Centre in the Netherlands. This facility looks nothing like Halo but is extremely useful for getting cool samples.

“There’s shakers made from the sound of gravel crunching under the wheels of a prototype Mars rover, the bass drum made from a giant sound system that can produce the volume of noise a rocket launch wood, the pop of a nitrogen valve inside a materials test facility, and more.”

Get the full details and DL links here; we recommend it. And check out Peter’s insightful take on the future of music streaming as well—it’s your future too.
