The garage legend opens up to Trevor Jackson.

Todd Terry is an undisputed garage house master and a titan of dance music history along with the likes of  Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, Dennis Ferrer and Bob Sinclar. His talent is spread over almost 20 years of primo releases featuring genre-defining classics like “A Day In The Life”, “Weekend” and “Can You Party”.  Defected Records has compiled those hits and a whole heap more from his immense back catalog for their House Masters series, including that remix of Anything But The Girl’s “Missing”.

To celebrate, Trevor Jackson (who’s no slouch, either) caught up the Terry in his studio for a fun and candid insight into the production process on his first tracks and his thoughts on keeping it fresh in the genre. It’s a must-watch for everyone interested in that golden era of New York garage.

And then you can listen to Finn Johannsen’s top 10 garage house tracks that everyone needs to hear.
