Munk prepare third album

Mathias Modica, aka Munk, is getting ready to release a third full length album on his own label Gomma. The Bird and The Beat features 14 cuts of disco influenced electronica with shades of house, krautrock and Eastern influences.

With songs sung in English and French the album looks set to fuse together a dizzying array of stylistic reference points and guest vocalists – 12 of the 14 tracks feature different female guest singers including Lou Hayter of New Young Pony Club

The album is due to be released in April, but in the meantime you can listen to our Electronic Beats Radio Session with Munk from 2009 here.
