Session for Electronic Beats Radio, 2011-11
Aérea Negrot - A fusion of classical opera and bouncing beats?

Aérea was born in Venezuela, grew up in a family of dancers and she was also profoundly influenced by dance and opera as a child. She was, however, driven by wanderlust and her journey took her to Europe. After stops in Porto, Amsterdam and London, she landed in Berlin in 2004 where she was discovered by Hercules and Love Affair. With the help of the disco band from New York she found herself a new stage for her voice and a new way of expressing herself.

Her live performance is inspired by opera singers and she combines her wide range of acoustic color with influences of classical music and intoxicating beats. You can call it some kind of techno opera.
She dropped her first single on BPitch Control in late 2010 and her long awaited debut album
Arabxilla is available now.

Enjoy the DJ Mix she did together with Fata Kiefer for Electronic Beats Radio.
