Alland Byallo

Hailing from San Francisco, Alland Byallo is one of the most diligent producers on the local scene. Producing and DJ’ing for over a decade and with a personal background in playing piano and later trumpet, it seemed destined that Byallo would use his skills by sharing his taste in quality music with other people.

In 2006 he initiated ElektrUS, a forum that was made specifically to increase European interest in the American minimal / techno / tech house scene. ElektrUS’ tagline was; “Better Living Through Successful North American Techno Tours”. As Byallo explains, the hope was “to make the US a more fun and respectable place for the techno community, and a more profitable venture for European talent and agents.” To put this ambitious challenge into practice, ElektrUS streamlines the booking process and maximizes the productivity of tour booking ventures by providing simple, central and easy communications.

Over the past years Byallo has created a respectable discography, including releases on US labels Epsilonlab, his own Nightlight Music, Public Access, Utensil, Deepfunk, Gourmet, Auralism and Airdrop, to name a few. An increasing number of releases on European labels like Immigrant, Liebe*Detail, Mo’s Ferry and Floppy Funk and also Byallo’s personal relocation to Berlin, indicate that his career may yet have its focus on the eastern side of the Atlantic.

His latest release the Discovaries EP, was given birth by Steve Bug’s Poker Flat imprint - one of the most treasured imprints for aesthetic house music.
