Session for Electronic Beats Radio, 2008-10
Magda - A techno traveller, finally settled in Berlin

Already fascinated by the Detroit underground scene, a Plastikman PA in the early 90's boosted Magda's enthusiasm for electronic dance music to an even higher level. She soon persuaded the bar where she worked to initiate a monthly techno night with Claude Young and Daniel Bell. Due to her infectious enthusiasm they soon asked Magda to do the warm up for them. Magda also decided to study graphic design, but soon realized that music was the more important medium for expressing herself. At one of the legendary Hot Box parties a mutual friend introduced her to Richie Hawtin. It was also one of those Hot Box parties where she met Marc Houle with whom she now has an unshakeable friendship.
In the new millenium; remember Richie Hawtin pioneering with digital deejaying technology, Magda spent hours digitalizing Richie's vast vinyl collection and was one of the first DJs realizing the potential of that technology, re-editing her favourite tracks and so creating an even more distinctive flavour with her sets. Laptops, samplers and EFX units are an essential part of her way of DJ'ing as Magda knows how to make the best use of her gear.
After years of a nomadic existence, Magda is now residing in Berlin, not far away from her home town Zywiec in Poland, and she seems to have finally found a city reflecting her own attitude to life; little restrictions and no compromises. In the meantime Magda is not only an essential part of the m_nus crew; she is also running her own label Items And Things with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce which offers a platform for more abstract creations.
