Modeselektor are an electronic duo formed 1996 in Berlin, featuring Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. Their multilayered complexity is hard to describe, even to themselves: "Happy metal, hard rap, country-ambient, Russian crunk. We don’t like it if people tag us as being a certain style or school or scene or whatever. We don’t really care about all that." Recently their new album Monkeytown hit the shelves, providing eclectically designed material that featured Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and others.
