It’s just plain wonderful how Joachim Prügl a.k.a Swede:Art combines the different worlds which have only in the 21st century found common ground: While dejaying Swede:Art enjoys roaming the wide pastures betweeen dubstep, wonky hip hop and broken beats and on the production boards he caters to lovers of the 90 bpm variety and upwards. Signed to Munich’s notorious Tokyo Dawn label, his music is now spun by Techno, Dubstep and Hip Hop DJs alike. Let’s put it like this: his craft has come to be recognized internationally, beyond the borders of his home, Bavaria. After participating in international music seminars and co-producing with artists like Hudson Mohawke, Tokimonsta and others, his 2010 debut album „Emotional Colors“ was the next feasable step for the Bavarian music lover. With guest appearances from Blaktroniks, Comfort Fit, Pursuit Grooves, Stray and many more it was only a matter of time for people to not only associate his name with his vast output of remixes but with his outstanding own creations.

2011 will definitely bring some more Swede:Art releases, but for now enjoy his exclusive mix for Electronic Beats where Swede mixes a broad variety of electronic sub-genres.
