The Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble

The Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble members have been educated in classical music, played in Jazz bands and studied composition. They’re also located in house and techno. How does that go together? The link between these contrary musical interests are the heroes of modern classical and minimal music such as John Cage and Steve Reich who started exploring electronics in the beginning of the 20th century. Brandt Brauer Frick pursue this heritage on their debut album You make me Real with piano, sampled orchestra sounds and jazz licks which seem to be ripped out of their natural context.
