Thyladomid

Charles Thiemann aka Thyladomid grew up in a very musical family – a fact you can tell from his melodic house productions. Charles learned to play the piano at the age of five, a passion he has carried ever since and which he successfully incorporated into his work as a electronic music producer. As a regular Cologne kid Charles took a route many producers have taken: learning from a well-known DJ he was soon venturing into production. Techno became his first love in electronic music and in 2007 his project Thyladomid was born. However, after some international DJ gigs house music had become his primary endeavour. After a couple of digital releases VIVa Music’s Steve Lawler became aware of the young talent and scheduled Charles’ first release on his well known UK label. Then Thyladomid’s song ‚The Voice’ from his EP on Berlin based Off Recordings managed to top the Beatport deep house Charts for six weeks straight, making it one of the biggest anthems of the year and earning Charles an award at the 2011 Winter Music Conference in Miami. Contrary to his Summer hit Thyladomid has provided us with a rather sinister mix of his favorite tracks – considering the time of the year this is the best choice for setting a mood.
