Björk’s Immersive VR Music Video Just Won A Prestigious Award

It’s about time.

Björk has just won a prestigious Digital Grand Prix award at Cannes Lions. The prize was awarded for the VR experience created for “Notget”, a track taken from her  2015 album, Vulnicura. The clip was directed by Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones. It continued a project that began for her with other virtual reality supplements for tracks like “Black Lake” and “Stonemilker“.

Over the past few years, Björk has become a part of a vanguard of musicians who are using the full potential of VR tech for music videos, installations and interventions. Get a taste of the VR experience with the 2D version of the video below. Scroll down further for the alternate clip for the track.
