This Browser-Based Voice Synth Is Strangely Addicting

We’re not sure why Pink Trombone exists, but we’re glad it does.

Replicating the human voice with electronic instruments is not a particularly new concept. That said, we’ve definitely never seen anything like Pink Trombone, an absolutely crazy browser-based synth that lets you use a virtual mouth to create sounds exactly like an organic one would. It’s very fun, but also extremely weird. Browser synths are having a moment right now—just look at these superb TR-808 and TB-303 emulators—but to be honest, we think Pink Trombone is our favorite of the bunch so far. To say it can sound a bit weird would be an understatement. Check it out here, and see if you can get it to say your name.
