Gorillaz Invite You To Enter Their Spirit House In Real Life
The band is hosting immersive, high-fidelity happenings in New York, Berlin and Amsterdam.
Last week, Gorillaz celebrated the forthcoming release of their much-anticipated album Humanz via an incredible 360-degree virtual reality video. “Saturnz Barz (Spirit House)” follows Murdoc, 2D, Russel and Noodle as they enter a twisted and trippy world via a haunted mansion. The video broke all kinds of YouTube records in the process, and, in fact, it was so good that it kind of made you wish you could go there too.
Well it turns out that fans will actually be given a chance to enter these “spirit houses” in the flesh. Gorillaz and Sonos have announced that three “immersive, high fidelity” and “raw spaces” will take over Brooklyn from April 21-23, Berlin between April 28-30 and Amsterdam on May 6. Sonos has already teased that the spirit houses will feature fresh music, custom artwork and digital projections. Entry is free, but you’ve got to RSVP here.
