DJ Sprinkles And SND Release Unheard Collaborative 12-Inch
“My Good Friends Tell Me That” is a previously unreleased deep house dance floor anthem.
There are some musical collaborations that just fit perfectly: Case in point is the potent mix of DJ Sprinkles’ cerebral deep house with SND’s jagged production work. The two worked together on a few stand-out cuts in 2002 and 2003.
One of those works was the previously unreleased “My Good Friends Tell Me That”, a track that has finally seen the light of day via Boomkat Editions’ 12 x 12 series. Boomkat describes the track as a “deep-as-anything, peak-time doozy riding a strolling bassline, pointillist claps and effervescent chords for 10 minutes of swingers’ bliss.”
Which is apparently another way of saying that it’s pretty great. The record is out now—pressed to clear wax—and can be heard and purchased here.
