Jeff Mills Soundtracks A Forgotten Sci-Fi Movie From 1902

Jeff Mills is going back to the future.

Jeff Mills has established an interesting niche for himself as a composer of techno soundtracks for obscure films. His latest is a composition for the 1902 silent sci-fi classic, A Trip To The Moon. This continues in the vein of his works for Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and Walther Ruttman’s Berlin: Symphony Of A Metropolis. As Resident Advisor reports, it will be available via DVD and Blu-Ray, with a CD of the soundtrack due in 2017. Check below to watch Mills talk to EB.TV about his approach to film appropriation. Scroll further to watch the original A Trip To The Moon in its entirety.
