!K7 To Release Incredible Video Archives From Punky '80s Berlin

!K7 will release its archive of largely unpublished videos of West Berlin’s music scene in the era of Einstürzende Neubauten and Joy Division.

Back in the early-’80s, the founding members of !K7 records filmed avant-garde concerts in Berlin. The label now has footage of performances by the likes of Einstürzende Neubauten, Nick Cave and Fehlfarben at legendary clubs like Metropol, Loft and SO36.

Now !K7 records founder Horst Weidenmüller and Berlin’s notorious punk expat Mark Reeder have remastered the entire video archive and made it available for viewing at Berlin’s silent green culture center on February 16 as part of a new film-centric event series. Check it out here.
