The off-Dekmantel event will host the likes of Aux 88, Ancient Methods and Puce Mary (pictured above) across two nights in an old peanut factory.

For those who prefer the darker and more industrial side of techno, there has only ever been one Dekmantel after party worth going to the last three years: Katharsis.

Set in a former peanut factory, Katharsis channels the raging energy of a ’90s warehouse rave, handpicking the best acts from techno’s underground to spin in its two gigantic concrete rooms. We were so blown away by the party last year we even called it “one of Europe’s best and wildest raves”.

The lineup for the 2018 edition of the party has just been announced. Taking place in Amsterdam’s Warehouse Elementenstraat on August 3 and 4, Katharsis has compiled a perfect mix of the deepest and darkest acts operating within electronic music’s industrial fringes. Stalwarts Adam X, Orphx, Ancient Methods and Dasha Rush represent the techno side of things, while there is a healthy dose of electro with Galaxian and Aux 88—both of whom will play live. Katharsis has also paid admirable attention to booking experimental acts across both nights, with Hospital Productions’ Prurient and Puce Mary both set for appearances. In short, whatever kind of “brutal” you like your music, Katharsis has you covered. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page here.
