This song is the “heartbeat” of the cult classic’s sequel.
Danny Boyle’s classic heroin love story is back this spring in the form of T2 Trainspotting, and it will include six new songs by Young Fathers, an Edinburgh-based pop group. Boyle has described the outfit’s “Only God Knows” as one of the songs that forms the sequel’s “heartbeat.”
Boyle has chosen to include five additional Young Fathers songs in the soundtrack—“Low,” “No Way,” “Dare Me,” “Get Up” and “Rise or Shine”—as well as songs by Blondie, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Queen. Listen to Young Fathers’ “Only God Knows” below.
