Make Ambient Masterpieces On The Go With This Awesome App

SynthScaper lets you experiment with weird noises and samples to create stunning textured soundscapes.

These days, it’s easy to produce music when you’re out and about with the technological advances provided by phone and tablet apps. There’s Ops, which lets you interface with modular synthesizers via graphic stacking blocks, Seaquence, which allows you to create dynamic polyphonic synth sounds with the touch of a finger, and now there’s SynthScaper, an interface that lets users manipulate oscillators, envelope generators and samples to create textured ambient soundscapes.

The iOS app’s developer encourages users to experiment with musical samples and field recordings to create their masterpieces. What’s more, the app can be connected to up to two MIDI keyboards at a time to be used in a studio. Check out a preview of the app below and download it here.
