Minijam: The Insanely Cheap Studio You Can Fit In Your Pocket

This ready-to-use hardware setup has everything you need to make polished studio jams.

Minijam “Tek” is a new studio setup that consists of only five devices: a drum machine, a wavetable synthesizer, an analog filter, a mixer and a speaker. Each component runs on a 12-hour battery charge and can be operated on its own, with the other “Tek” devices, or with external gear. The small and highly intuitive system is designed to allow users to grasp the essential concepts of electronic music hardware, like how to create patterns, filters and envelopes. Founder Sebastian Heinz (who also created the wildly successful modular system Patchblocks) says that the “Tek” line is the first in a series of many future iterations.

You can check out the system below and support the project on the Minijam Kickstarter page here. At only £40 per unit—and £99 for all five—it’s a pretty tempting deal.
