These Piano Covers Of Hardstyle Anthems Are Unbelievably Beautiful

This is the softest hardstyle we’ve ever heard.

“Beautiful” and “calming” are not two adjectives we’d normally associate with a genre with “hard” in its name, but then again, most hardstyle cuts don’t feature a piano and violin recorded in a chamber hall.

Enter Jisk Lieftink (a.k.a. The Hardstyle Pianist)—and violinist Judith van der Klip. Together, they’ve created a one hour video that reinterprets over 40 different hardstyle classics.

Gone are the aggressive saw tooth synth leads and freaky vocals, and in their place is a surprisingly mellow and relaxing listening experience.

Case in point, check out the original version of Wildstylez’s “Encore” below, and then hear its softcore version as the first song in the mix. Close your eyes and you can almost see the lasers in front of you.
