iPhone 7 Ditches The Headphone Jack

Rumors that Apple had eliminated the headphone jack for the iPhone 7 seemed to herald a new era in audio connectivity—albeit one that, practically speaking, was kind of a drag. According to leaked information from different sources in Apple’s Chinese supply chain, Forbes has now confirmed that Apple is replacing the 3,5 mm jack that all your other audio systems have been relying on forever with the Lightning port. What does this mean? Well for one thing, if you plan on staying up to trend, gear-wise, you’ll have to give those beloved wires in your life a well-deserved break.
