Space Scientists Have Covered A Sigur Rós Song

These scientists know how to make cosmic jams.

Anyone who has listened to Sigur Rós knows that the Icelandic band are masters of cosmically tinged music. Now the outfit has even more space cred thanks to this cover from an orchestra of legitimate space scientists. “Viðrar vel til loftárása” was recently covered by the International Space Orchestra, the world’s first orchestra of space scientists who describe themselves as an “experiential and hybrid research laboratory, where space scientists are implementing, deconstructing, performing, singing, mixing, modifying and designing musical acts.” Dust off your old telescope and download the track here.
