Björk's New Virtual Reality Video Is Surreal And Beautiful

“Notget” is the latest track from Vulnicura to get a lush VR facelift.

Björk has just released a brand new virtual reality music video. “Notget” follows on from “Black Lake” and “Stonemilker” as the most recent song from her 2015 album Vulnicura to be transformed into a striking VR animation. Always one for integrating new technology into her projects, it continues in the vein of her recent experiments with virtual reality, which have included some very bizarre art world interventions.

“Notget” was directed by Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones. It features a Björk avatar engaged in a strange dance on a mystical sea bed. As the clip progresses, Björk and an odd octopus-like creature transform into beautiful bodies of glowing light. It’s the perfect accompaniment for the song’s epic orchestral ebbs and flows. Check it out below.
