Watch A Video Of Kraftwerk’s Rare MIDI Glove Controller

The 1993 Doepfer MOGLI uses a Nintendo Power Glove to trigger synths.

The MOGLI, or MIDI Output Glove Interface, was a collaboration between hardware manufacturer Doepfer and German supergroup Kraftwerk. According to a demonstration of the MOGLI made by “studentsmusic,” the synth group used these Nintendo Power Gloves-turned-MIDI controllers on stage throughout the ‘90s to create unique sonic effects. These devices are still in circulation, but they’re extremely rare—only 350 were built and sold. Check out a video of the controller below.
