You’ve heard of vaporwave. You might have heard of simpsonwave. You’ve definitely heard of new wave. But have you heard of the newest wave? It’s just called “wave.”
Billed as the “new sounds of a generation that has no tangible reference point pre-world wide web,” wave might just be the hottest and most inclusive music scene in London right now. It sounds like a bass-heavy version of vaporwave. And though it wasn’t originally intended for the club, it’s now found its way to dance floors thanks to artists like Toddla T.
