Seattle-based producer Jeff McIlwain may be associated within a musical niche, but his productions under his moniker Lusine reach out far into the world of pop music. Following up on his album A Certain Distance from (2009) is his third longplayer titled The Waiting Room, which will be released on Ghostly International in 2013.
“If I’m just experimenting just for the sake of experiment, it’s not worth for me”, said McIlwain in our Slices video feature. “If you’re doing something different with pop music, then this may be more experimental than covering the same territory that other artists covered with ‘experimental music’.” Watch our video feature on Lusine, taken from Slices DVD 2-10.
