Bjarki’s meteoric rise through the ranks of forward-thinking techno began when he was signed to Nina Kraviz’s label, trip (stylized as трип ). Massive hits like “I Wanna Go Bang” quickly made him a household name, but his prolific output and genre-defying style—not to mention his raucous live performances—have guaranteed his space in the scene. Now the Icelandic artist is managing his own label, bbbbbb Records, where he continues to release under Bjarki and Cucumb45, a pseudonym for his more IDM-leaning output.
