From playing Sonar’s famed beach parties into the early morning hours, to composing for Sesame Street, or working with the likes of Roy Ayers, Patti Labelle, Salif Keita, Freddie Jackson, Nkemdi, and Cesária Évora, St. Louis born Osunlade is clearly a world-wide producer. With an indelible warmth and undeniable rhythms, his music has deep spiritual roots in the Yoruba traditions often also reflected in his album covers, remixes and of course the name of his label, Yoruba records.
