Cologne Music Week 2012 shares free music

Cologne Music Week 2012 shares free music Don’t confuse it with a rock festival. Or a music industry trade fair. Or a one-off party. Cologne Music Week is somewhere in between yet at the same time is none of these things. Starting next week on Monday, the fourth edition of Cologne’s free (yes, as in ‘free entry for all‘) concert & party series brings a whole bunch of live and DJ sets to the city of Cologne.

From January 16th to 21st new artists such as Stabil Elite (check out our Slices feature below), Xul Zolar, Periscope, Hufschlag&Braun, and Roosevelt will be playing shows alongside established musicians and producers likeRobag Wruhme, Hans Nieswandt, Strobocop, The Modernist, Ada, Coma (Slices feature here), and Gebrüder Teichmann.

All showcases take place at various venues all across town, from big to tiny spaces: Artheater and Blue Shell, Café Franck and Gloria Theater, Sonic Ballroom, Odonien, Stadtgarten & Studio 672, Tsunami Club, Werkstatt, and many more.

Check out the full line-up here, and also catch up with our fellow former EB editor Anja Base at Werkstatt.
