EB presents the video premiere of “Formentera Headspace Blues” by International Feel founder and balearic ambassador Mark Barrott. It’s taken from his forthcoming album Notes From an Island, recorded in the northern hills of the island which Barrott currently calls home and is the first release under his own name. Unsurprisingly, “Formentera…”, with its planes of synths, electric guitar and loose-jointed organic rhythms, is steeped in Ibiza’s legacy—and the nonconformist mindset which drove it. The super 8 imagery which accompanies the music—all coastal vistas and Old Town simplicity—completes the escapist trip.
