Lana Del Rey: Born To Die

Okay, we sort of get the Lana Del Rey hype now. In a sea of forgettable alt-pop that desperately wants to be dark (Charlie XCX, we’re looking at you) trust an unabashed pop star to truly bring something righteous to the table. ‘Born To Die’, the massively heralded new video directed by French filmmaker/musician Yoann Lemoine (aka Woodkid) is a sneeringly lovely piece, and the track draped around it an authentically enjoyable, strong dark pop song that legitimately deserves the enormous amounts of buzz it’s received.
