New Lee Scratch Perry collaboration album

Lee Scratch Perry is a man who should not need introducing to Electronic Beats readers – the term living legend was practically invented for the man, and rightly so as the pioneering dub producer approaches his 75th birthday with no signs of slowing down.

His latest project is an album of collaborations called Rise Again produced by the legendary Bill Laswell (Material, Sly & Robbie) in an updated style of Perry’s own groundbreaking dub productions.

The record which will be released later this month features guest spots from artists as diverse as TV on the Radio‘s Tunde Adebimpe, P-Funk legend Bernie Worrell and Ethiopian superstar Ejigayehu "Gigi" Shibabaw.

On paper it sounds amazing, but how it sounds on the record will be interesting to hear – we are certainly intrigued.
