R.I.P Poly Styrene

It is with great sadness that we report the death of legendary punk singer Poly Styrene. Confirmed on her Facebook page by long term friend Symond Lawes, her death over the weekend comes after a long battle with breast cancer.

The legendary singer was the front-woman of X-Ray Spex, and recently returned to the spotlight with her exceptionally well received album Generation Indigo.

As journalist Simon Price has said, "Oh Cancer, up yours…" paraphrasing her bands biggest hit – ‘Oh Bondage! Up yours!’
