Side9000 goes booty
We can’t quite keep up with the enviable pace of production of the producer Side9000 whose releases on Prague labels like Owntempo or Meanbucket have cemented his mark on the Czech dance scene. Previously renowned for his dubstep productions (primarily on Owntempo), his current outings indicate a more dirty, booty turn. Hot on the heels of his warmly received EP Raindance (and the EP’s equally well received remixes), Side9000 returns with another Meanbucket corker. This time, the prolific Prague producer infused his sonic lexicon with a dose of bass, booty and juke. With tracks like the sun-kissed Beach, and the two other breezy but still his trademark dark tunes, Homework is an ideal soundtrack to a hazy summer’s evening.
