After a three year break Sigur Rós have announced they plan to release their sixth studio album next spring. Described as “floaty and minimal” as well as”slower and more ambient” the band initially scrapped work on the follow up to með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, saying that they were “just recycling”. lt seems however the Icelandic foursome have now got their floaty-mojo back. Kids, side projects and films scores have all been undertaken by various members of the band over the last few years. Currently they are promoting the release of Inni, a live record, which was recorded in London in 2008. More information when we get it.
