The electronic music pioneer is the focus of a new film.
Subotnick: Portrait Of An Electronic Music Pioneer is a new documentary about seminal avant-garde electronic music composer Morton Subotnick. Featuring candid interviews with the artist and his contemporaries, it covers the man’s story in full from Silver Apples Of The Moon to the present. It also features a premiere of “Crowds And Power”, a multimedia tone poem for voice, electronic sound and live images. The production is being created by the same team behind I Dream Of Wires, an excellent documentary about modular synthesis from 2014.
