Despite being known as a rap collective, Berlin’s Live From Earth crew have also been behind some of the most forward thinking sounds to come from the German capital. The LFE-Klub podcast is dedicated to this other strain, with past editions featuring sets by the likes of Gabber Eleganza and Sentimental Rave. The LFE-Klub sound is a skittish but playful mix of rave, hardcore and techno that seems completely contemporary as opposed to revivalist or reverent.
In fact, it’s hard to think of a crew that’s so unafraid of disciplinary norms, as our Beginner’s Guide to Live From Earth feature showed. This exploratory spirit is carried on in the newest LFE-Klub mix by Clara Cuvé. Initially cutting her teeth at the Rote Sonne club in Munich, Cuvé is now based in Berlin, where she operates in the pockets between genres: speed techno, rave, breakbeats, trance and Eurodance. Her new mix, which is LFE-Klub’s latest, explores her sound, and its jacked-up vibe will get you prepped for the weekend
