Dance Spirit is a Los Angeles-based duo known for their positive energy and all-original live sets.
If you’ve paid any attention to the Los Angeles scene lately, there’s a strong chance you’ve noticed Dance Spirit. The duo has been making waves there and abroad off the strength of their uniquely positive approach to music that channels influences as disparate as psych rock and progressive house through the equipment they use for their all-original live sets.
Originally a fixture of just the LA downtown scene, they’ve since played gigs in such clubbing hotspots as Tulum, Ibiza, Burning Man (which is sort of a country) and London. The music they make in the studio has a utopian ethos, and that comes across pretty easily in the records they’ve released. For this week’s episode of our YouTube channel‘s ongoing Tech Talk video series, we went into the studio with the duo’s Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius to learn the tools and techniques that help them bottle the magic.
