High Art And Club Music Collide At This Cutting Edge Leipzig Event

‘DONT’ fuses the musical pedigree of Abdulla Rashim, JASSS, M.E.S.H. and Leibniz with contemporary art.

The affinity of the worlds of visual art and musical experimentation are set to be put into question at a fascinating new event in Leipzig kicking off next week. DONT, will present two days of art exhibitions and club-tinged experimental music at a huge hangar at the “Spinnerei” industrial site.

Art openings from David Ostrowski, Nan Goldin and Galileo Chini at Halle 9 will be accompanied by a series of stellar musical performances and interpretations from Abdulla Rashim, Coucou Chloe, Amnesia Scanner, JASSS, M.E.S.H. and Leibniz, who recently wrote us a fantastic guide to the cutting-edge techno sound emerging from the Leipzig area. Musicians will be integrated into the framework of the art exhibition and acting as supplementary exhibiting artists giving atmosphere and mood to the works themselves. Ostrowski’s paintings are set to hang from the hangar’s high ceilings just over the heads of the dancing crowd.

At €5 per night, it’s the perfect way to get your musical and artistic fix on a budget. RSVP for the event here. Get yourself warmed up with a sick mix by Leipzig’s Credit 00 for Uncanny Valley below.
