Take A Trip To Los Angeles’ Underground Rave Scene With This Groovy House Mix By Jen Ferrer

jen ferrer

The Far Away resident serves up 90 minutes of smooth boogie and house perfect for those sun-kissed summer days.

As summer slowly starts to set in, who could be better equipped to soundtrack your warmer days and nights than one of Los Angeles’ most established underground DJs?

Jen Ferrer is the selector behind the revered Fish Whistle radio show on Dublab and resident DJ at the monthly Far Away warehouse parties—one of the city’s underground staples for daring and eclectic music.

The breadth and depth of Ferrer’s taste is on full display on her recent Texture Mix for Berlin’s Cashmere Radio. Keeping things bubbling between disco and house tempos, Ferrer throws in everything from soulful ’90s edits, Madchester grooves to rolling bass line before rounding things off with some Southern rap.

The result is a deep, hazy and ever-morphing mix. Check it out in full above.
