The KLF Is Back With...A Sci-Fi Novel?

That’s not exactly what we expected.

UK pop prank outfit the KLF (a.k.a. The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu) has just unveiled the release date for its first big project in over two decades: a novel titled 2023: A Trilogy.

Though we have to admit we’re disappointed that it’s not new music in the vein of “Last Train To Trancentral”, we’re also kind of excited to read what the duo has in store for us. The book is being described as “a utopian costume drama, set in the near future, written in the recent past.” What else would you expect from two guys who famously burned one million pounds and tried to sell the remains as a piece of contemporary art? Check out the book cover below. The release is set for August 23.
