Nightlife Wins Again: Hamburg To Help Pudel After Fire
The government has pledged a total of €300,000 for the club’s reconstruction.
After a devastating fire forced it closed a little over a year ago, Hamburg’s famous Golden Pudel club is now slowly making its way towards a recovery. Now it seems the venue will get some support from its hometown—the local Government’s left-wing coalition has committed to supporting the club in the form of an estimated €200,000 for its reconstruction efforts.
An additional €100,000 for the reconstruction and expansion of the club will be taken over by the district of Altona. And while this is definitely a big win, there’s still quite a bit of money left to be raised. The remainder of the total cost of around €850,000 will need to be provided through the club’s own contributions.
