Berlin Is Losing Another Great Club: St. Georg Will Close This Saturday

The club's last party is this Saturday.

After a year’s worth of “legal battles and no public events”, Berlin club goers will finally have to say goodbye to Kreuzberg institution St. Georg.

This news follows a wave of club closures this year, but St. Georg’s closure hits especially hard. In Berlin nightlife, St. George was an oasis for clubbers that preferred dancing to hip hop and other styles outside of the dominating pulses of house and techno. It was also a platform for newer parties to gain a foothold in the scene, like Live From Earth, Pornceptual and Cocktail d’Amore.

This announcement comes with a silver lining, however, as the club has announced one final party where St. Georg fans can dance to the club’s “FAMILY ALL STAR DJs”. In their words, “JOIN US THIS SATURDAY FOR THE LAST DANCE EVER and celebrate what Berlin’s been missing, before we move forward…”
