How does the new sample-based groovebox measure up to Elektron's lauded Digitakt and Octatrack machines?

In late January, Elektron announced that they were releasing a new sampler  to add to their lauded catalogue of machines.

The Model:Samples is a sample-based groovebox with a 64-step sequencer and over 300 presets on offer to process and manipulate in inventive new ways. At €450, it is Elektron’s most affordable machine to date, and it’s likely to appeal to both professional and aspiring musicians alike.

To put the new machine through its paces, we tapped Hamburg studio wizard and Electronic Beats in-house gear expert Stimming. The machine may be easy on the wallet and the eyes, but does it measure up to its acclaimed siblings like the Digitakt and Octatrack? Find out by watching Stimming’s review above.
