Suzanne Ciani Will Play A Live Synth Set On A Quadrophonic Sound System In Berlin On Friday

Suzanne Ciani is an electronic music pioneer well-known for her mastery of the Buchla synthesizer.

We don’t usually recommend concerts, but sometimes you have to break precedent.

Tomorrow night, Berlin’s Trauma Bar And Kino will host a special evening featuring a live synthesizer performance on a quadrophonic sound system by electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani.

Quadrophonic sound is like stereo, except it features four distinct channels, which ought to offer an interesting canvas for Ciani’s unique sonic experiments. Her recently released album, Flowers Of Evil, harkens back to the early days of electronic music experimentation, when sound was less tethered to rhythm. Listen to it below.
