EB Premiere: Fur Coat – “Fast Forward”

There’s no shortage of sun-bleached deep house in 2014, but now and then a record comes along that shakes us from our deep V ‘n’ sunglasses coma. 2012’s “You and I” by Fur Coat was one such example. Released on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels label, the Venezuelan duo made up of Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine approximated the signifiers of mainstream house music—the sultry vocals, the billowing synths—as heard on other side of a two-night bender. We’re not the only ones to be paying attention either, they have a release on Hot Creations due imminently as well as an EP on BPitch Control—which we’re previewing here. Busy much? The Right Move EP is due this week and you can hear the second track, the mean and moody “Fast Forward” before anyone else in this exclusive premiere.

We’re also giving away two pairs of tickets to see them at Bpitch Control’s off-Sonar Pool Party in Barcelona on June 14th (full details at the Facebook event page). Email community@electronicbeats.net with your name and address to be in with a chance of winning. The competition closes next Monday at 5 p.m. Good luck!

The digital release of The Right Move EP is out May 30th on BPitch Control.
