Listen to DJ Food’s Kraftwerk Kovers Kollection

At Electronic Beats we can’t wait for April.

Ever since we got word of Kraftwerk‘s MoMA-residency 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 we’re looking forward to next month. Flights are booked, an appartment is safe, and the EB crew will be travelling to New York City – although we just got one ticket for one Kraftwerk night at MoMA, seems as if we need to draw straws.

But we’re not the only ones in anticipation: legendary Ninja Tune producer DJ Food aka Strictly Kev also’s eagerly waiting for Kraftwerk’s NYC shows, and he’s celebrating with a series of Kraftwerk-related blog posts – thanks to Nerdcore for the hint.

The series involves Food-dj sets with “cover versions, sample-heavy tracks or songs that obviously owe a debt to the Dusseldorf quartet.” Originally released on Solid Steel radio, you can stream and download the mixes below.

More importantly, DJ Food is sharing loads of Kraftwerk memorablia, posters, promotional material, images, and conducting interviews. Check out all episodes of DJ Food’s ‘Kraftwerk month’ over at his blog.
