Just a few weeks to go until the Electronic Beats concert in Berlin with Bryan Ferry and obviously we’re more than little excited about seeing the sharpest dressed man in music performing live. However as we have no influence of the continuum of time and space, we will just have to satisfy ourselves with an assortment of video clips as we wait. We culled a selection of our favourites from solo turns, to Roxy Music staples. Classy music videos and a couple of oddities for good measure. All for your enjoyment.
Electronic Beats are very proud to present Bryan Ferry in concert in Berlin this December. With a career spanning over four decades that began with Roxy Music before he went on to a have a hugely successful solo career, Ferry is one of the world’s most iconic singers. He has worked with everyone from Amanda Lear to Brian Eno, Kate Moss to DJ Hell, and as Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys has said “he introduced history and the avant-garde into the world of pop”. With previous concerts by genre defining acts such as Yello and Donna Summer, Electronic Beats could not be more excited about the British singer’s performance on December the 8th at Admiralpalast.

DURAN DURAN FORCED TO POSTPONE SOLD OUT ELECTRONIC BEATS CLASSICS SHOW IN BERLIN
New date locked in at larger venue. Show moved from Thursday 26 May at The Admirals Palast to June 8 at Tempodrom!
On the eve of his scheduled departure for Germany, following the cancellation of the first five dates of Duran Duran’s UK tour, singer Simon Le Bon was told by his specialist this afternoon that he needs to continue to rest his voice for the next two days, as his laryngitis improves. This means that the band have been forced to reschedule their sold out Berlin show originally planned for tomorrow night at the Admirals Palast (Thursday 26 May). The new date will play on Wednesday June 8 at Tempodrom in Berlin. Tickets for this larger venue, priced at 34 Euros (plus fees), will go on sale on Friday 27 May at 11.00 am at www.eventim.de.
The band members are hugely disappointed to have had to postpone their German show – which would have marked the start of their ‘ALL YOU NEED IS NOW World Tour’ – but are confident that Simon will be fully recovered within the next few days, and are relieved that they have been able to find a replacement date so quickly to enable them to continue with the rest of the world tour as planned.
All fans should hold on to their tickets for the Admirals Palast show, as these will be honored for the new date and venue.
Stop the press! After a touch and go few weeks where Duran Duran had to cancel their last five shows due to Simon LeBon falling ill, we are very pleased that the bands enigmatic frontman is rested, repaired, fighting fit and ready to perform at our exclusive Electronic Beats Classics concert in Berlin. This event now marks the debut show of the band’s European tour.
With only two days to go until the concert at Admiralspalast in Berlin we are extremely excited to announce that we have a final pair of tickets to give away to one very (very) lucky competition winner. The show originally sold out weeks ago and this is now the only place where you still have a chance to get tickets. And who wouldn’t want to win tickets to see one of the worlds biggest and most enduringly popular bands?!
UPDATE: the competition ended today at noon – we will notify the winner by 12 noon on Thursday.
We are very excited to bring you news of our next Electronic Beats Classics event with the legendary Duran Duran. Taking place on May 26th, 2011 at the prestigious Admiralspalast in Berlin, this will be our third event in our Electronic Beats Classics series following concerts with Donna Summer and Yello.
The show in Berlin will be the first time the band will play live material from their critically acclaimed Mark Ronson produced album – All You Need Is Now. Following the Electronic Beats event, the band will then head off to do a world tour in support of the album – their first world tour for over five years.
Speaking from the studio in London, where the band are rehearsing for their upcoming tour dates, Simon Le Bon said today:
"We have always enjoyed playing in Berlin as there is an energy to the city that exists in few other places. It has always had thriving underground music and arts scenes and I think that’s what gives it the edge. We are really excited to be playing at Electronic Beats, which will be the first time we’ve performed any of the new songs from our upcoming album ‘ALL YOU NEED IS NOW’ in Continental Europe. We’re in the studio at the moment, working up the new material for the live show and very much looking forward to getting back on the road with it."
The most exciting news we’ve heard this year. Tickets are available now – stay tuned to Electronic Beats for more details and the opportunity to win tickets to the event.
